The stone guest lodge, situated in the centre of the farm, offers guests complete privacy with scenic views and can accommodate 8 adults and 4 children. The lodge is fronted with a large wooden deck overlooking the grassland valley below, and the large gas braai is perfect for entertaining large groups of guests. The Lodge has a sun lounge, a main lounge with large fireplace, open plan dining room and equipped kitchen with gas fridge/freezer, gas hob etc. There is a TV and DSTV (guests are asked to provide their own smart card). The weather can be erratic (classically misty Highland weather) with the catchphrase ‘seven seasons in a day’ being applied almost daily.
FARM MANAGEMENT : The farm manager will be at the Lodge to welcome you on arrival and will be available to assist you with any queries which may arise during your stay. The Lodge is serviced (at no additional charge) for 2 hours each morning.
DIRECTIONS : Highlands Country Estate (HCE) is a comfortable 2 hour drive from Gauteng. It is situated 6km out of Belfast and 25km from Dullstroom. Follow the Witbank and then Belfast signs from Gauteng. Take the Belfast turnoff and then follow the Dullstroom signs. 3km out of Belfast (just after a small bridge) turn right onto the Winnaarspoort Road (a dirt road). Travel a further 3km and the entrance to HCE is on the right. (Look for a stone gate with signage).
