Highlands Country Estate is 250 hectares of pristine Mpumalanga Highveld grassland located outside the historical town of Belfast. The estate prides itself by adapting a unique strategy that not only helps develop conservation initiatives, but also makes them viably sustainable. Furthermore, Highlands Country Estate has partnered with VulPro and has privately funded VulPro’s second captive breeding programme for the endangered Cape Vulture. This new facility is located on the Highlands Country Estate grounds and is the second captive vulture breeding programme in Africa.
